Some of the green things we do......

• NatSol is a member of The Association for Environment Conscious Building

• We hold a Green Dragon Environmental Standard.

• NatSol has Business Membership of Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust.

• We bank with The Cooperative Bank and are members of the Federation of Small Businesses.

• We donate a proportion of our profits to The Size of Wales project which is aiming to protect an area of African forest equal to the size of Wales. The particular project we are supporting assists in mapping areas of forest in the Congo thereby giving title to the indigenous people of the area enabling them to protect their forests from exploitation.

• We don't buy any plastic packaging except for small plastic bags. All other plastic packaging is waste packaging which we reuse.

• We double-side most of our printed material to reduce the quantity of FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) accredited paper used.

• We inhabit a very well insulated office and an increasingly well insulated workshop.

• We used mainly ecological paints in our new premises.

• Public transport is used if at all possible for the rare occasions when it is essential to make a site visit, or to give talks. Road transport is in the most efficient vehicle compatible with our requirements to carry some tools. It does about 60mpg on a run.

• We buy our electricity from Good Energy which sells 100% renewable energy.

• Our products are designed for minimum manufacturing impact as far as this is consistent with good quality and reliable function.

• Our computers are not left on and are switched off at the socket overnight.

• We use eco-friendly cleaning products.

• We use FSC timber when available and carefully consider all timber sourcing issues.
