Company History and Policy

Based in Mid Wales, NatSol Ltd was started by Andrew Warren and Nicholas Grant in 2005 following many years combined experience of designing and installing composting toilets. Both have long established links with The Centre for Alternative Technology Wales. The company is committed to an environmentally sound and ethical trading policy and products are designed so as to minimise manufacturing impacts. Whilst acknowledging that our activities have a carbon footprint, we aim to keep transport miles, staff travelling and use of potentially toxic substances to a minimum.

Our products make a significant contribution to water conservation and pollution reduction and usually require a smaller input of material resources to manufacture and install than other solutions for the same site. Management of the toilets after installation is simple and requires no vehicle access. We guarantee not to sell you a product unless we believe that it is the best solution in environmental terms for your situation based on the information we receive from you.

NatSol is a member of The Association for Environment Conscious Building and has a Green Dragon Environmental Standard.

NatSol has Business Membership of Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust and banks with The Cooperative Bank.

Directors

NatSol Ltd has two directors, Andrew Warren, and Nick Grant

Andrew Warren.

Andrew is the Managing Director of NatSol Ltd which he set up as an offshoot of his ecological design and building company Natural Solutions. Andrew has a degree in Physics but has worked as an ecological builder and design consultant for the past 15 years. He was involved in a government study of energy use in non-domestic buildings and has advised on energy conservation and renewable energy systems. He has been designing, building and using composting toilets for the last 10 years including the COMPUS TWIN with its innovative urine separation system.

Nick Grant.

Nick joined the company in October 2005 as a director thereby formalising a long-term compost toilet collaboration with Andrew. Nick's main work is as the principal of Elemental Solutions a water conservation and wastewater treatment consultancy. Originally trained in Engineering Design, Nick has been interested in compost toilets since the early 80s. He has been designing and building compost toilets since 1996 and has built his low-energy home around a very fine example.

Staff

Chris Frost

Chris is the General Manager of NatSol. He had previously run Natural Foods Ltd, a company involved in retailing organic and wholefoods together with homeopathic and herbal remedies. Chris is a qualified forestry contractor with experience in upland farming. His other career experience has included working as a local government officer in the public housing sector and a number of years in the sales and marketing industry.
